Florida’s only marsupial (animals that carry their young in a pouch) is the Virginia Opossum. They are identified by their size, a little bigger than a house cat, and their long snout and tail. They generally will inhabit Florida’s woodlands but can sometimes make their home in crawl spaces or other areas inside your home.
Florida Possums are beneficial to the environment. They are known as nature’s vacuum because they will eat almost anything including ticks, cockroaches, and rats. They will also get into anything that is a food source including your garbage cans or pet food left outside.
Critter Control employs Certified Wildlife Technicians. We are trained to safely and humanely trap and relocate nuisance wildlife. We also will clean up and disinfect the areas they inhabited and repair any other damage left behind.
